The words “architecture” and “architectural design” are often used interchangeably, but there is a difference between the two. Architecture is the art and science of designing and constructing buildings, while architectural design is the process of creating the plans and drawings that are used to build those structures. An architect is someone who is trained in the field of architecture and is responsible for the overall design of a building, while an architectural designer is someone who creates the detailed plans and drawings that are used to construct the building.<\/p>\n

There is a distinction between architecture and architectural design. Architecture is the art and science of designing and erecting buildings. Architectural design is the planning of buildings and the design of their interiors.<\/p>\n

Is architect and architectural designer the same? <\/h2>\n

An architectural designer is someone who designs buildings but is not licensed to do so. A licensed architect has passed the ARE’s (Architect Registration Exams) and is therefore allowed to practice architecture. An architectural designer is one step below an architect when it comes to expertise.<\/p>\n

Architectural design is a discipline that focuses on covering and meeting the needs and demands, to create living spaces, using certain tools and especially, creativity. Therefore, the aim is to combine the technological and the aesthetic, despite the general belief that architecture is only a technological task.<\/p>\n

What is the difference between an architectural drafter and an architectural designer <\/h3>\n
