Texas A&M University System
The Texas A&M University System is a collection of 11 universities, seven state agencies, a research center, and a university health center system based throughout Texas. Established in 1876 as the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, the university system has grown over the years to include many disciplines, including architecture.
The university system established the Texas A&M College of Architecture in 1967 in order to advance the practice and study of architecture. The college is nationally and internationally recognized for its excellence in teaching, research, and professional practice. The College of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in six disciplines: architecture, construction science, historic preservation, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban planning.

Innovative Design Projects
The College of Architecture at Texas A&M is home to a wide array of innovative design projects, such as the student-led restoration of the iconic Bullock Museum in Austin. Students led the entire process from conception to completion, from coordinating with the museum staff to designing the project.
Texas A&M is also home to other innovative architecture projects, such as the “Y-shaped Research Park,” in which students designed and constructed a theoretical village in order to develop sustainable solutions for water supply, energy, and agricultural production.
